Spring Break

Adam was on spring break this week.  He only attends preschool two mornings a week, so it wasn't a big change to our weekly routine, but we still tried to fit in a few fun activities while we had the chance...

We lingered in our pajamas each morning and took full advantage of snuggle time.

We enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather by going to the park or just playing outside

We went ice skating indoors.  With the warm weather this year, the outdoor rink season was a bit short.

We went jumping!  The trampolines were a definite hit with both boys and Evan was especially disappointed when it was time to go.

It was nice to get out and try some new things this week!!

St. Paddy's Day Weekend

I get excited for St. Patrick's day each year. There's just something about it. When the forecast called for a day in the 70s, I knew we couldn't miss out of the local St. Patrick's Day parade.  It was so fun to look out at the sea of green while soaking up some sunshine.  We ended the day at a friend's surprise birthday party and explored with some friends in Stillwater the following day.  Good times with great friends!

Evan - 18 months

This busy boy keeps us on our toes! He can sure be a stinker, but he melts us with his smile.  He is so much fun.
  • Has about a dozen words, with a couple new words each week lately.  He does a lot of whining when he is frustrated so it will be nice to have him communicating with words more.
  • Evan loves to be outside.  He constantly brings his shoes to the patio door and points to the sandbox or brings his shoes to the front door when someone is leaving.
  • Has a great appetite and loves food.  He's still a little peanut though.
  • Evan is a fairly consistent napper and sleeper overnight.  We call him "the hoarder" because he wants to bring ten things to in his crib to sleep and won't leave his crib until his hands are full too. He is very snuggly when he wakes up so we soak it up.
  • Evan mimics everything that Adam does.
  • He can be described as a mini tornado.  He can empty a bookshelf or dump a bin of legos within seconds. He can also climb anything and everything in a matter of seconds.
  • Evan loves animals and can make many of the animal sounds.  He gets excited to see Chase, birds, squirrels, cows, etc.
  • Books really hold his attention.  He also has a baseball bat, golf club, or shovel in his hand most of the time.
Here are some pictures/videos of little Ev.

Catching up

Here are a few videos of the boys from the last couple months since I've been a little lazy with the blog.  Enjoy!
