Leap Day

We've spent lots of quality time outside this winter.  We just had the perfect wet snow to build a snowman, too.  Uncle Matt stopped over to help Adam. What a fun way to spend our "extra" day.

The Dells

We had a mini winter getaway in the Wisconsin Dells with Nana and Papa. I had never been to the Dells before.  The sheer size of the resorts is amazing.  We went to four differnt indoor waterparks just at our resort!  Adam wanted to stay for one-hundred nights, so I think we'll be back! It was a fun weekend.

Our first night at the hotel. Adam couldn't wait to get in the water

Evan was more timid in the water than usual with so many things spraying

Swimming really wears you out

I think Adam wore Papa out. He would have stayed in the water all day.

Two fish

Lazy River

Warming up after a trip down the lazy river with Nana

Water slides!!! Again and again...

Adam was brave to go down this big tube slide and LOVED it!

I thought we were going to have to drag him out when it was time to go.

After-party

The Perreault's were hosting an ice fishing party at their place, so the kids took quick naps and we headed north.  We were a little late for ice fishing, but the kids had a bite to eat and then had lots of playtime together.  Next time, we will plan on fishing for sure.  It looked like so much fun. What a fun northwoods retreat!
The kids were finally worn out and settled in for a movie

Evan was very interested in the deer on the wall

Adam's Birthday Party

Adam wanted a dinosaur-themed birthday party, so that is what he got!! We had a fun afternoon with our families.  Adam just loves having everyone around to play with and it was even more exciting to add some new toys to the mix.

FOUR

I just can't believe that Adam is four already!! He is an absolute blessing, filling our days with so much joy. It seems like yesterday I was holding a newborn and now he is so independent. His curiosity leads to countless questions each day.  His imagination brings us on amazing adventures. He has a great sense of humor, which keeps us all laughing. I love the stories he tells recounting his day. Adam has a very sweet side too.  He still loves to cuddle and he takes very good care of his little brother. We love him so much and are so proud of him!  I did ask him to stop getting so big and he sweetly looked and me and said, "OK. Should I stop eating lunch?"

Hugs and Kisses...

Lots of love from our little Valentines!

Valentine's Day Party

I volunteered to help with Adam's Valentine's Day party at preschool.  His teacher invited us to spend the whole morning.  It was really fun to piece together all of the things Adam talks about in their daily routine and to see him interact with all of his classmates. He was most excited for me to go outside for recess with him. When I was bringing Adam upstairs to get ready for bed that night, he told me "I'm so happy you came to school with me today, mommy".  Such a sweet guy!
This was the craft I came up with for my station.

Where's your tongue?

Evan is proud to show us where each of his body parts are when prompted.  I love asking him to show me his tongue.  Aunt Jenn always asks where his belly button is when we video chat.  At the sound of her voice, he lifts up his shirt.  It's so cute.
