Fore!

Check out this little golfer! Adam joined Jenn, Bubba, and Daddy for an early morning round of golf. I was fully expecting he wouldn't make it nine holes, but he loved every minute of it and was sad that he couldn't play more. I watched him play one hole. He had pretty good golf etiquette on the green and I had to laugh at how much his mannerisms matched Aaron's. He was very proud of himself and excited to be a part of it.

Como Zoo

Adam really wanted to go to the zoo with Jenn while she was here visiting and we picked a HOT day to check it out. Grandma came along too and it was so nice to have the extra sets of hands. It was a fun outing!

He couldn't even take his eyes off the giraffes for a picture
Evan likes watching all of the action
Waiting for the Sparky show to start
Adam was impressed
I don't think he wanted it to end, but we were happy to find some shade when it was over.

Happy Father's Day

Aaron enjoyed the day. He took Adam to the driving range and for a ride on a golf cart. Then he played 9 holes himself and we had a nice steak dinner. The boys sure love spending time with their Daddy - he's the best! And to make the day even sweeter, Evan starting babbling dadadada.

Cousins

We love having Soren and Hanna over to play. It won't be long before Evan will be trying to keep up or at least have a little one to pick on:)

Birthday Weekend

My birthday celebration was extended over the weekend. Aaron and I enjoyed a fun evening out with neighbors on Friday. On Saturday, we took the boys to the park and then we went to pick up a chocolate shake for me (my favorite) and watched the boats (Adam's favorite). My parents had us over for dinner and homeade pumpkin pie on Sunday. My birthday was on Monday. It was great to hear from so many friends and family members. Aaron also brought home dinner, dessert, and flowers before I headed out for a fun evening with some neighbor gals. I guess it's not so bad to get another year older:)

Weekend Projects

It was an exciting day at our house when the dump truck arrived with a load of sand and mulch. We added mulch to all of our perennial beds and Aaron built the boys a sandbox. He spent many hours on it, but the boys have already played many hours in it. It's perfect!

He is a hard worker and delivered many loads of mulch with his tractor
Helping Daddy
Time to enjoy it! Our neighbors stopped by on the day when it was 102 degrees to help us move the sand to the sandbox. They are the best!
The Mahers enjoying it too.
Hooray - two projects off the list:)

Evan - 9 months

Evan has changed so much over the last month. His personality is really starting to show and he is constantly on the go.
  • He weighs 17lb 5oz (6%) and is 27.25" long (15%). He is such a peanut.
  • At his 9 month check-up, the doctor informed me that he has six teeth coming in. I knew he was cutting the top teeth, but I never looked at the bottom. He is drooling so much. He is a bit cranky and very clingy, but I can't say I blame him.
  • Evan is on the go. He started crawling a couple weeks ago and can really scoot if he wants. He is also pulling himself up and doing a little bit of cruising along furniture. He is the happiest when he is walking holding our hands though. He locks his legs to keep walking if I try to get him to sit. He will lead us where he wants to go, which is almost always to the door to go outside. He cries if we don't take him out. He also likes to find Chase.
  • Evan is a great eater. He eats everything we give him and has tried lots of different kinds of table food.
  • He takes 2-3 naps a day. His morning nap is usually short because we are often on the go and if he doesn't take a good afternoon nap, he needs another short one at dinner time.
  • Evan likes when we sing to him, especially "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Pat-a-Cake".
  • He is so snuggly. He squeezes us tight with his arms around us and puts his head on our shoulders. It is the sweetest!

Here are some photos:
