Labor Day Weekend

The weekend was filled with lots of fun, family, and festivities.

Adam enjoyed all of the action and attention. There was always someone around to hold him, tickle him, and give his chubby cheeks a pinch or a kiss.

Family gathered from near and far. We had an enjoyable day of golf and a BBQ afterwards.

Abe and Cora entertained us in the yard while they found salamanders and played ball. Cora was even brave enough to pull out a loose tooth and proved to be a very competitive 'Sack Attack' player.

Al is seen here perfecting his form for the Cornhole toss. We played until dusk when Al finally had to admit defeat.

Jenn and Mike had wedding decisions to make and decided to let the family help them with a vote.

Owen, Abe, Cora, and Adam enjoyed seeing one another and getting to stay up late!

Lunch Date

Today I had lunch with my mommy, Grandma Cathy (Nana), and cousin Soren. After lunch, we walked to the end of the Hudson Pier. Soren and I had so much fun checking out all the people, pets, boats, and each other.

Amigos

Monique, Ryan, and Ashley were visiting all the way from Costa Rica. It was so much fun to get the college roommates together again (with families) for some good laughs and playtime for the kids. We really hope that they end up back in Minnesota someday soon!

Six Months Old

We can't believe that six months time has passed already. We are having so much fun with Adam and can't wait to see what is in store for us in the next six months!

Here are the highlights of month six:
  • Adam's bottom teeth are visible beneath the gum, but still haven't come in. He drools constantly and puts everything in his mouth to soothe his aching gums (hands, feet, toys - anything!)
  • He has started to sit up on his own for brief periods, but has more interest in standing than sitting.
  • Adam enjoys eating. He has tried rice cereal and oatmeal and liked them both. Next up: vegetables!
  • Adam is so busy. He can get his hands on everything. Although he is not crawling, he can move across the floor by rolling and scooting fairly quickly.
  • He sleeps on his tummy. This has helped get him down for naps, but he is not sleeping through the night:( Maybe when the teeth come in?!
  • He's a happy guy. He loves when we try to "get him" as demonstrated in the video below.

Baptism

It's official. Adam is now a member of the church. He did really well considering the large amount of water that was poured on him. He enjoyed it most when the congregation clapped for him. We headed to our house for lunch afterwards. Thanks to our families for helping us celebrate.

Pontoon Ride

Thanks Heather & Toby for the fun pontoon ride on Forest Lake and dinner at The Lakehouse. Adam loved the ride, especially at the faster speeds. He also loved spending time with Jenn & Mike while they were home for a long weekend.

First "Professional" Haircut

I went with my mommy to the salon today and I got a haircut too. The salon was full of women admirers wanting to check out my new cut.

Mmm... tasty!

I've been closely watching Mommy and Daddy eat lately and have tried to get my hands on some of their food. Today, they are serving up some rice cereal just for me. I can hardly wait as I sit in my high chair.

I open my mouth wide for each bite.

Yummy!
